Brett and Anita tied the knot on a beautiful June afternoon, and their day couldn’t have been more lovely. In their wedding venue search, they came across The Barn at Mapleside Farms. This venue boasts rustic charm, with new conveniences like a fully air-conditioned reception space to keep guests cool and comfy on warm summer days. The ceremony space overlooks orchards and a pond, with sunset views that are nothing short of delightful. This was my introduction to Mapleside, and I became an immediate fan.
First looks are so fun, and this one was exceptionally so. The love these two share was so sweet to witness.
Adorableness was off the charts with the addition of Brett & Anita’s pup Brailee and sweet niece Caroline.

A little obsessed with the Dog of Honor, not gonna lie! …and Brett lost it when he saw Anita.
(PSA to future brides: Brett & Anita did a first look and he STILL lost it when she walked down the aisle. I’ve seen this more than once. Sometimes doing a first look actually enables you both to savor the moment when you walk down the aisle even more. I know first looks aren’t for everyone, and that’s totally fine! …but if you’re on the fence, just know that sometimes seeing each other beforehand can help with nerves. You know what’s best for you! 😉 I loved that Anita’s step-father met them part way down the aisle to escort Anita the rest of the way. Such a sweet way to honor both of her fathers.
Grabbed this shot of the bridal party on a whim, and the unplanned, ‘let’s-just-do-this-real-quick’ photos often end up being my favs.
Anita’s smile could light up a stadium and steals literally every show (see like every photo above), but I wanted one shot of her serious to document just how wildly stunning her eyes are also. DANG.
I know this is probably not every photographer’s truth, but I love photographing toasts so much. I’m a words of affirmation person, so seeing everyone love on the bride and groom with kind words and fun memories just makes my heart explode. So yes, I overshoot this, and I’m definitely not sorry about it.
If you love sunset photos and are tying the knot in Ohio, The Barn at Mapleside is your venue, let me tell ya. Such a pretty rolling sunset view!
Guys, what a delight it was to photograph these sweet moments for you! Shoutout to your awesome vendor team for bringing your wedding day vision to life. Loved getting to be a part of this day!
